Assessments

  • Scholastic Assessments
  • Dementia Screening
  • Curatorship
  • Traumatic brain Injury
  • Neuropsychological assessment for job evaluation and safety e.g. Cabin Crew and Pilots.

Scholastic Assessments

This involves comprehensive evaluation techniques to understand a child’s:

  • Academic abilities
  • Learning style
  • Cognitive strengths and areas of difficulty including but not limited to ADD, Concessions, ADHD and Spectrum Disorders.

Assessments typically include standardized tests of:

  • Intelligence
  • Academic achievement
  • Memory
  • Attention, concentration and processing speed.

The goal is to identify learning strengths and challenges, inform educational planning (concessions), appropriate school placement and develop targeted interventions to support academic success.

Referral required from Teacher, General Practitioner or Pediatrician.

Dementia Screening

Dementia screening involves assessing cognitive function to detect early signs of cognitive decline associated with conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. Screening tools may include brief cognitive assessments, questionnaires and informant interviews to evaluate memory, orientation, language, executive function and visuospatial skills.

These assessments help individuals at risk of dementia, differentiate normal aging from pathological decline and inform referral to further diagnostic evaluation.

Early detection enables timely intervention, including medical management, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychosocial support, to optimize quality of life and functional independence for individuals and their families.

Referral required from Health Care Practitioner

Curatorship

A Neuropsychological assessment for curatorship involves a comprehensive evaluation of an individual's cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning to determine their capacity to make informed decisions regarding their personal, financial and legal affairs. This type of assessment is typically conducted when there are concerns about an individual's ability to manage their own affairs due to cognitive impairment, mental, illness or other factors.

Referral required by Health Care Practitioner or Lawyer.

Neuropsychological assessment of job performance, safety and brain function following TMI

These assessments typically involve evaluating various cognitive, emotional, and behavioral factors that could impact job performance and safety e.g. but not limited to the aviation environment.
